- Hispanic Heritage Month
- Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. The day of September 15 is significant because it is the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. In addition, Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16 and September18, respectively. Also, Columbus Day or Día de la Raza, which is October 12, falls within this 30 day period.

We are excited to announce a new collaborative whiteboard feature in Google Meet that will be rolling out to our domain in the next few days. It will not be available for all users at once. For more information about this new feature, please see this video.
For your reference, here are additional features and accompanying videos that some people have gotten and the rest will be getting soon.
Google Meet Quick Access: allows you to have more control over who can and cannot join your meetings.
Google Meet Tiled View and Background Blur: allows you to see up to 49 video screens, but will make your computer work hard. Try not to have too many other things open.
Google Meet Host Controls: allows you to turn on/off chat and screen share for participants in your meeting.
For those of you interested in additional information on how to use Jamboard as a collaborative tool in Google Meet, please register for voluntary professional development on Oct 6th or 13th from 3pm-4pm using this LINK.
