2019 Science and Engineering Fair

The 2019 Science and Engineering Fair was held last week. There were over 230 projects submitted from students in grades K-12. Over 200 6th-12th grade students attended the Fair on Tuesday 2/5 to be judged and interviewed by judges from UCR’s College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences and the Bourns College of Engineering. RUSD, Department of Personnel – Leadership and Development is offering workshops to ALL classified employees providing tips on building a strong resume and on how to create the greatest impact during the interview bringing you closer to obtaining your career goals. Flyer

The classified application for this year’s summer school, ESY, and elementary summer camp sessions went live on Monday, February 11, 2019 with additional details regarding summer session programs, dates, sites, requested classifications, etc.

The online application should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. Online applications must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019. Notification of summer assignments will be may no later than April 30, 2019.
NOTE: No hard copy of applications will be accepted.

We will be sending flyers home this week for our Books and Blankets event
Parents will be allowed to come on campus - at 8:40 after the bell rings and students are in class
Students will report to class at normal times, please take attendance quickly
We will encourage families to bring their own books, however please have some on hand to share.
It's OK for parents to read outside your class, in your class, with other students
This is an opportunity for parents to participate in a fun day AND for us to encourage and model reading with families. Let us know if you have any questions or ideas to help facilitate this experience.
