    Personalized Learning Ideas from ILE:

    Goal setting with Dreambox

Use the Student Overview report when meeting with students. Let students choose a gap that they would like to fill in.  The teacher can give an assignment based on the student’s goal.  This allows student to pick what they want to work on and set goals to complete appropriate assignments

    Sponge activities with Dreambox

Have students jump on Dreambox if they finish early during a live activity.  During this time, students can work on personalized lessons or if they are in the first 4-6 weeks of use the program will gather information about student knowledge.

    Dr. Hansen's Call To Action:

    Common RUSD Goal:

To create inclusive and equitable learning environments for all

    Our Call to Action:

    1. Continue to reflect on your own mindset regarding race and privilege.

    2. Begin to dismantle inequities for all students and staff (policies, practices, procedures).

    3. Listen to the voices of students, families, and employees (what are their stories?).

    4. Go out and ACT NOW!

I just wanted to say thank you for your emails, texts, thoughts and prayers over the past week.  It does, and did, help knowing that positive energy and prayers were coming our way.  I am eternally grateful to the office staff and Longi for taking over and really letting me let go to focus on my family. This was not an easy week to leave work, but knowing that they were taking the lead put my mind at ease.  For those of you that donated money to my family and our Meal Train I am forever grateful, know that you have eased my parents minds for the next few weeks.  Hawthorne is a special place, and I am blessed to be a part of it, thank you so much.
